This custom home project developed from the clients desire to upgrade their then current residence in Ashland Oregon.  They decided to design and build a new home on a newly developed 5-acre site, also in Ashland, retaining much that they loved about their original home, which was also designed and built with the same Architect and Davis Construction.

The Taylor’s needs and desires for their new home evolved from not only the previous home’s design, but also their large and extended family’s visits and to facilitate their joy for entertaining.

The homes large overhangs and low sloping roof shapes reflect the hills around Ashland and settles the structure “into” the site, not “on” the site.  The natural external finishes of the stone veneer base and steel troweled stucco all add to enhance the building’s home.
